Departing from Florence aboard a luxury van, we make our way to the nearby hillside where a fleet of state-of-the art Vespas await and the fun begins. Helmets on, all off for an exciting day on the road! In the company of an expert local guide, drive your own Vespa along the quiet, cypress-lined country roads of the Chianti area while taking in the magnificent scenery.

We’ll start with some standard safety protocols and a test drive in the safety of our dedicated space. Once you feel at ease and confident … whizz off, following your local guide!

Enjoy the fresh country breeze on you as you admire the rolling fields dotted with olive groves, tiny ancient parish churches and typical Tuscan farmhouses. Take in the beauty of prominent vineyards and stop along the way for photo ops before a lovely visit to a famous local winery. Explore the wine cellars and learn all about wine production techniques from the experts.

Drive on along flower-filled meadows and reach the charming boutique winery where you’ll enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch (or dinner). Relish the unique simplicity of seasonal local specialties, learn about the estate's approach to winemaking and savor the best, with a guided tasting of the estate wine and olive oil.

This tour is conducted using original Piaggio 50cc scooters: the authentic Vespa (with NO gears). We also provide Ape Calessino (3 wheeled Vespa, driven by a tour leader) as an alternative if you do not feel comfortable driving (contact for more information).

Mileage Covered: about 19 miles round-trip (30 kms)

Terrain: Mostly paved country roads with little traffic.

Difficulty: Easy. Average speed 25 km/h (15 mls/h). Van support always guaranteed in case of unforeseen difficulty.

A valid driver's license is required (you must have it with you) and you must be at least 18 years of age. However, you do not need a motorcycle license. If you do not feel comfortable driving, you can choose to ride as a passenger with your partner.
